menstrual cycle tracking technologies and the production of corporeal experience and gynecological knowledge

MenstruTech is a research project that explores the various ways menstrual cycle tracking applications are used. Our research focuses on people who use these applications, those who design or regulate them, as well as researchers and healthcare professionals engaging with these new technologies for research and care.

The project is led by Marion Coville, Associate Professor in Information and Communication Sciences at the University of Poitiers. Initial studies have been conducted since 2018. MenstruTech has been supported and funded by the French National Research Agency since 2024, under the ANR JCJC program. Research focusing on education and adolescent users has also received funding from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region since 2025.
